About DEM

We're freight people. We're people people, too.

DEM Logistics is an independent freight brokerage built in Oregon around a pretty simple idea: do good work, take care of people, and do what you said you'd do.

How we got here

It started with a truck. Ours.

Before DEM was a brokerage, we were on the other side of the phone.

We started with one truck — running freight, sitting at docks, dealing with appointments, waiting on detention, and learning firsthand what it feels like when the person on the other end of the load actually cares… and when they don’t.

So when we moved into brokerage, we already knew what kind of broker we wanted to be.

The kind we’d have wanted to work with.

The original DEM truck — a white Volvo tractor and dry van backed into a dock at dawn, Oregon hills and a break in the clouds behind it.
Truck 01.Before the brokerage. Before the website. Before all of it.

This is where DEM started.

Turns out you can be good to people and still be really good at freight.

It’s also why the carrier side of this website isn’t an afterthought.

How we do things

A few things we believe in.

01

Be good people.

Freight can be a tough business. That doesn't mean we have to be tough on each other.

We treat customers, carriers, agents and each other with respect. Be kind. Be fair. Be someone people actually want to work with.

Good people > big egos.

02

Do what you said.

Your word still matters around here.

03

Tell it straight.

Good news or bad news, people deserve the truth.

04

Fix the problem.

Blame doesn't move freight. Solutions do.

05

Give a DEM.

Yes, we know how it sounds.

  • Care about the load.
  • Care about the customer.
  • Care about the carrier.
  • Care about the details.
  • Care about the name attached to the work.

Give a DEM. We do.

The boring details

Yes, we’re a real freight brokerage.
